English by birth, he graduated in 1972 with a degree in Naval Architecture. In 1981, he sold everything he had and set out on an open-ended adventure which brought him to Caribbean, in the Pacific Ocean, up to New Zealand. Here he began to produce furniture inspired to his trips and his contacts: in this way a series of objects born from Maori canoe forms: light and flexible structure, they are a translation of his way of looking at nature, of showing his search about essential things, like wood and stone, of transmitting the simplicity and the fragility of human life.
